Tarsia is an exhibition space located in the quartier of Montesanto, center of Naples, in the beginning of one of the most ancient markets of the city, la Pignasecca.
Tarsia is a non profit space inaugurated in Naples in November 2018. The space articulates its program, in conversation on one hand with the Neapolitan and Italian social, cultural and artistic context, on the other opening to dialogues and collaborations with artists, curators and foreign realities. The activity of Tarsia is carried out in a perspective of osmotic and constructive coexistence tending not to distort the primitive function of the physical space, plant and flower shop, hypogeum located in the historical center of Naples. The heterogeneity of mediums, contents and artistic positions is a fundamental characteristic of Tarsia, whose activity is based on a philosophy absolutely free from exclusions and limitations of any kind.
Artists and curators are invited to interact with the people running the flower and plant shop, the socio-culturalenvironment of the quartier, and the ever-changing space.
The space is open every day from 8.00am to 8.00pm except Thursday afternoon and Sunday.
